According to sourses inside the DSS, has attested to the arrest of the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Joe Ajaero.
In an interview, he said he had no comment on the arrest of Ajaero but confirmed that the NLC president was in their custody.
reports from reliable sources says that the DSS had on Monday morning, arrested Ajaero at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
it was said that Ajaero was about to board a flight to the UK, for an official assignment when DSS acousted and picked him up.
further more, in a statement by the DSS said“ that the DSS last week had decided to scale back on Media visibility and opted to concentrate on its core mandate of covert operations to enhance national security.
meanwhile the director of Public Relations and Strategic Communications, Dr. Peter Afunanya has been redeployed to continue his work elsewhere”.
