
In the early hours in the morning the said three storey building collapsed in the Ekosodin coomunity.
Ekosodin which shares borders with the University, is a hosts to large numbers of the student population.
The building situated along Ekhator Street, collapsed during the early morning rainfall which besieged in the state capital.
information gathered said that some of the trapped students have been rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment but the search for others continues.
Also the Dean of Student Affairs is said to be at the scene, seen coordinating rescue efforts alongside the university team.
A student who spoke to our news correspondent said that “The rescue team continued in its search for one of the victims who remains trapped inside the rubble, was heard calling from inside and the rescue team has continued its search to locate and rescue the victim and others who are still trapped,” he added.
